What and Where to Recycle

The Central Recycling Drive-Thru Center is located at the corner of Old Highway 46 and Greasy Creek Road. It is open Tuesday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - Noon.

Outdoor bins  are available when the drive-thru closed.  Lables are on each bins for sorting of your recyclables.

These bins are for recycling only..NO TRASH in bins please!

Drop-Off Recycling Stations are un-staffed, open 24 hours:

   Prep Items for Recycling

Cardboard & paperboard, such as corrugated cardboard, brown paper bags, and cereal boxes.
  • Flatten all cardboard to conserve space
  • Remove all cereal box liners, packing materials, or Styrofoam from the boxes
  • No plastic bags, only brown paper bags

Brown, Green & Clear Glass Bottles
  • Must be food, beverage, or vitamin containers
  • Keep brown, clear and green glass bottles separate from each other
  • Remove all lids
  • Recycle metal lids with metal. Throw away plastic lids in your household trash, or use for art projects.
  • Rinse all containers clean! If not free from food and odor, they will be thrown away, not recycled.

Magazines and Catalogs

#1 PETE
  • clear or transparent colored bottles such as two liter soda bottle
  • Clamshell fruit containers
  • remove all lids and place in separate container to recycle  
  • crush to save space



#2 HDPE
  • opaque bottles that are white or colored such as those used for milk, soap, or laundry detergent
  • Yogurt containers, sour cream & cottage cheese type containers.
